* IDC has a good record
- First major analyst group to determine that Linux had a future in business
- Actually admitted it when Linux grew faster than expected

* Gartner does not have a good track record in this area
- Lousy in the beginning
- Improved in last 2 years
- Still tends to underestimate the market, IMO
